The IES Frei Martín Sarmiento is going to develop, between the 6th of March and the 9th of August, a free Training Action (AFD) focused mainly on unemployed people registered in the employment office with a minimum level of ESO, and that will give access to obtain a certificate of professionalism of level 2, with theoretical and practical training in the classrooms and workshops of the centre and practices in companies of the machining sector.
This activity belonging to the professional area of Mechanical Manufacturing, called Machining by Chip Removal (FMEE0109), allows acquiring as general competence to carry out machining processes by chip removal, controlling the products obtained and taking responsibility for the first level maintenance of machines and equipment, with criteria of quality, safety and respect for the environment.

There will be a selection test that will take place on Thursday, March 2nd at 18:30h, having to present only the ID card, the title of ESO and the job seeker’s card in case they are unemployed. The timetable will be from 16:00 to 22:00h from Monday to Friday from March to June (not including holidays), and from 08:00 to 14:00h in July, ending in the second week of August with a timetable established by the company assigned to each student, where they will carry out practical work related to the training activity.
