Teachers Luis E. Ruiz de Cortázar Díaz, Óscar García Freire and Alicia Fontán Soto, carried out a one-week jobshadowing mobility from 01/05/2022 to 07/05/2022 in the French region of Normandy. This mobility, belongs to the execution of the project 2021-1-ES01-ES01-KA121-VET-000011069. A brief summary of the different activities that were carried out during this mobility are:
Arrival at LPO Leclerc Navarré, welcomed by the vice-director Mrs Kaya and the international programmes coordinator Catherine Toth Solignac.
Guided tour of the Lyceé Leclerc Navarré, visiting the different facilities, such as the library, teachers’ room, theory classrooms and workshop classrooms for the different specialities taught at the school. On the same day, a visit was made to the company Hexaôm, a leading French company specialising in the development of sustainable housing, based on the YRYS concept.
Finally, on the first day, a cultural visit was made to Saint Cénerie-le Gérei.
On the second day, we met up with Professor Phillipp Herrouin to visit the EHPD Charles Aveline Residence for the elderly. This public complex was built in 2003, we had a tour of the whole Residence, visiting the common rooms, kitchens, infirmary and pharmacy, where the daily and weekly medication of the residents is prepared, single rooms with adapted private bathroom, which are very spacious.
In the afternoon we were at the Lycée Charles Tellier in Condé sur Normandie with the teacher Catherine Toth Solignac. We were welcomed by Ms. Lucile Fortier, director of the Lycée and Mr. Loïc Laignel, the school’s training director.

On the third day, we visited the Lycée 3ifa, a public school where hairdressing, automotive, catering, hotel and catering and commerce courses are taught.
We are welcomed by the director, Mr Antoine Reynald, and we start our tour of the school by visiting the automotive workshops (bodywork and painting), the bakery, pastry, butchery and kitchen workshops, before finishing in the hairdressing workshop, where the teacher shows us the teaching and learning method he uses with the pupils. At midday, departure for Mayenne to visit the two Ermo (Mold Making Solution) factories in the area.
We are welcomed by the financial director, Mr Bertrand Hugain, who gives us a presentation of the company, showing its turnover and expansion from its creation to the present day. This company mainly creates moulds to manufacture caps that will later be used in various packaging for the cosmetics industry (Kèrastase, Lórèal and Garnier) and the food industry (Évian water bottles).
Fourth day, cultural visit to the Normandy Landing beaches.
Fifth day, visit to the lycée Leclerc-Navarrette, where we went to the epicerie d’idèes (market) where the students of the trade cycle sell local and organic products from the Normandy region.
This was followed by a press conference with local journalists, where the importance of the Erasmus+ projects in the different sectors was presented.
